섭씨 4도라길래 설마 했는데 정말 춥습니다 (2023년 1월 하와이 기준)
겨울 파카를 빌려주는데 그거 입고도 추워서 달달 떨었습니다
목 긴 양말과 최대한 두꺼운 바지를 입으세요
기모 트레이닝복을 입었음에도 추웠어요;;

어느 포인트에서 천체 관측이 이루어지느냐에 따라 화장실이 없는 곳이 있으므로
잘 대비하여 가도록 합니다

안내받은 장소에 도착하면
캠핑의자를 받아서 앉거나 풀밭에 앉으라고 합니다
완전히 드러눕는 것이 가능한 의자이므로 캠핑의자에 앉는 것을 추천합니다

천체 관측은 가이드가 즉석에서 촬영해서 보여주면서 자세하게 설명해 줍니다
star tracker 라는 장비를 사용해서 진행하는데,
저렇게 작고, 특별할 것 없어보이는 장비로 
이렇게 아름다운 사진을 찍을 수 있다는 것이 정말 놀라웠습니다

기념사진 촬영은 30초간 일시정지상태를 유지할 수 있는 자세로 시도하세요
촬영을 위해서 드레스를 입고 온 사람도 있었어요

사전 안내에 따르면 청바지가 사진이 괜찮게 나오고
레드가 가장 인상적으로 나온다고 합니다
블랙, 화이트는 별로라고 하네요

투어 당시에 촬영한 사진들은  24시간 내외로 업로드한 사이트 주소를 메일로 보내줍니다

고화질 사진을 원할 경우에는 사이트에서 미리 신청해야 합니다

투어비는 시간 대비 비싼 편이지만 (2.5시간)
이런 별관측이 가능한 여행지가 드물기 때문에 강추합니다

투어비에 팁은 포함되어 있지 않습니다

투어비가 비싸기 때문에 15-20%룰을 적용하면 팁만 해도 상당한 액수입니다

이런 투어에서는 이 룰을 적용하지 않는 게 좋겠다는 현지인의 조언이 있었습니다;;
기념촬영 시에 이런저런 포즈로 추가 사진을 요청하고 팁을 넉넉하게 내는 것도 괜찮은 방법이라 생각합니다

Whether you are coming from Kona, Waikoloa or Hilo, take Saddle Road, Highway 200, to the Mauna Loa Observatory
Road (not to be confused with the Mauna Kea access road nearby) located between mile markers 27 and 28 on the
Saddle Road. Follow this one-lane road for 1/2 miles to the parking area for the tour.

Scuba divers please note that you will be driving at high altitudes.
Not recommended for children under 5 years old, but children of any age are welcome to 
participate.
Guests with asthma or other respiratory problems are not permitted to participate in this
activity.
Guests with heart and cardiovascular issues are not permitted to participate in this
activity.
This activity is not wheelchair accessible.

Although parka jackets will be provided, temperatures can dip to 40° F (4° C) so be sure
to dress appropriately.

There are no restrooms on this tour, so please utilize the restroom facilities before check-in.

This tour does NOT visit summit of Mauna Kea or Mauna Kea Visitor Center.
Tour companies and private individuals are not permitted to stargaze at the summit. 

The summit is closed 30 minutes after sunset and is used solely for research and cultural
practices.
The activity provider will take a few photos of you and your group towards the end of the activity, and it will take approximately five days to edit the photos.
For the best photos and portraits, do not wear black or white pants.

Blue jeans photograph well, and red dresses look the best and most impactful in the photos.
The activity schedule is subject to change or cancellation due to weather or traffic
conditions.
The tour guide has full discretion to refuse service to customers based on attire, behavior,
physical fitness and condition.
Gratuity is not included in the price.

• Groups of 1 - 3 passengers: Any cancellations made after 16:00 local time, 3 business days prior to the activity will be
subject to a charge of 100% of the total amount.
• Groups of 4 - 10 passengers: Any cancellations made after 16:00 local time, 5 business days prior to the activity will be
subject to a charge of 100% of the total amount.
